A Year in the Life started as a personal project for me as I wanted to see if it was a service I wanted to offer to clients.  Now there is a lot of baby’s first year programs but I wanted to to be a little bit more then just portraits and documented growth spurts.  Don’t get me wrong I wanted cute little portraits because who can resist a sleepy newborn or baby grin?  But I wanted more. I wanted to document daily life with baby from bathing to feeding to the changing of the diaper. Just simple daily things that parents do, and to give them a reminder of those quick (even thought it doesn’t feel like that when your in them) weeks of change in the first year.  In fact, for some they change weekly and sometimes daily.  From rolling over, to the first giggle, to those few precious steps.

Over the past year I have had the privilege of photographing the Life of Mason Henley from the Womb til his first year.  He has been such a joy getting to know and I can’t wait to see who he becomes.  He is just the happiest little guy and is loved very much.  Below are some photos from his first year session.  What I love about his year old session is it’s the same location we did the maternity session.  What a difference a year makes.  The photo from maternity on  is just a snippet of some of the photos we captured over the year. We ended up doing four sessions: a maternity, 3 weeks old, 6 months old, and 12 months old.
