Christy and Kevin’s wedding at Eagle Ridge Golf Club

posted in Weddings on Tuesday 25 August 2009 at 9:27 am

The very first photo of Christy dancing with her father has to be one of my favorite wedding images in a long time.  I had to admit I was glad it was in focus since moments like this I catch myself tearing up along with the guest.  The dances were a highlight at this wedding.  There was also a dance dedicated to Christy’s Mom and Dad for their 35th wedding anniversary. In Christy’s words “it was kind of a tribute to their dedication to each other, something I want in my marriage.”  Christy had all kinds of little sentimental and personal things woven in to her day.  From a butterfly broach from her grandmother to the incorporating of the wheat to symbolize a loved one was still with them in spirit on this important day.  You have to love stuff like that, it is what makes their day unique to them.

Christy and Kevin exchanged their vows outside of the Eagle Ridge Golf Club and Wedgewood Banquet in Gilroy.  It was a beautiful day filled with family and friends.  Even a little deer came to watch the union of the two.  Her colors were fantastic and Sonya Beck of Sweet Pea Weddings did a wonderful job with her flowers.  To view more of their day you can click on here to see their slideshow or her  videographer sent her a little sneak preview of her wedding video.  Enjoy and we would love to hear about your thoughts on their special day.

Issac and Iris’s wedding at Kohl Mansion in Burlingame in Northern California

posted in Weddings on Thursday 6 August 2009 at 8:47 pm

Iris and Issac exchanged vows at the beautiful and historical Kohl Mansion in Burlingame.  Even though the weather could of been a little warmer they still had a beautiful ceremony as their family and friends watched.  We had such a great time photographing their day.  My friend Mike Steelman of Steelman Photographers was their to help me record this very important day of their life.  Thanks Mike.

This wedding had some fun little elements about it.   Some people would of said it was a sign that I was suppose to photograph the wedding there.  I just thought it was the greatest little thing I stumbled upon.   One of the very first things you come across is this topiary when you walk in to the mansion.   I know Issac and Iris  didn’t put it there but I love how it resembled one of the design elements I use on my site and pricing information.  I want to know how I can get one of those in my yard?  I wonder if Kohl will give me the name of their gardner? I’m I on a tangent of wild thoughts?  Let’s get back to Issac and Iris’s day.

A couple of the other things was I loved Iris’ s red shoes under her dress.  Just a little spice that got to peak out once in a while.  It was really fun when they played the newlywed game and the bride and groom each had to holdeach others shoe they looked pretty spectacular. Sorry Issac, Iris’s shoes were so much prettier.  Another interesting thing was that Iris wore her hair pinned back for her ceremony and then took it down for the reception.  Something you don’t see very often.  Last, was one of the cutest place card ideas I’ve seen in a while.  Each person had their own little paper chair with their name on it, adorable. We are wishing Issac and Iris many happy wishes has they enter this new chapter in their lives.

If you would like to see more of their photos please click here to view a slideshow storybook of their day. And Please let us know what you thought of their day.  Did anything stick out interesting stick out to you?

There was so many great vendors that helped them pull of their day.  See some of them below.
