Natalie and Eric’s wedding at the UC Berkley Faculty Club

Eric and Natalie had a great to day to exchange vows at the Faculty club of UC Berkley. Natalie was one of my happiest brides of the year. Her face had to hurt the next morning because all she did was smile. She was just beaming and her smile and laughter was contagious for everyone around her. Her colors were so fun and were so perfect for an outdoor wedding. I love how the pink just pops at you. Check out more of their pictures by clicking on their link below.

Victims or Heros?

We just wrapped up a wonderful holiday weekend.  I’ll post some info and pictures soon but I just had to write about what happened to my son and I today.  We were making a quick run to the hardware store to get some hooks to finish hanging the Christmas decorations.  While at the store we came around an aisle corner and bam!  All I remember is intense pain, landing on the ground, watching my son fly down to the ground ahead of me, and wondering what had just hit me.  It was literally like a cartoon with stars going around my head.  A large man was caught shoplifting and he ran right in to my son and I.  Because he ran in to us it slowed him down and they were able to track him down.  Cole was pretty shook up but everyone made sure that they told him he helped catch the bad guy.  His knee was pretty banged up and my back and neck are sore but we survived.  It all happened so fast it was really surreal.  It makes me wonder why he felt he needed to steal? It was a bummer that it happened on the last day of the weekend but I was definately Thankful that nothing worse happened.

Chism family sitting in San Juan Bautista

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Monday 19 November 2007 at 10:44 pm

chism San Juan Bautista is like a step in to the past and we had a great time taking pictures of Elora and her parents.  Raine, the mommy,  I’ve been photographing since she was 14 years old. She was one of my models I used in school projects. It has been fun watching her grow up. I photographed her wedding about 7 years ago and it had been about 3 years since I’ve saw them last. Like mother, like daughter Elora took to the camera and I loved spending time with them and getting to know Elora.  I was having such a great time photographing them that it wasn’t til I got back in to the office did I realize that both Raine and Elora love to scrunch up their nose the same way.  It is so fun to see what gets passed on in the gene pool.

Enjoy some of their photos on our day in the past.

Jodie and Abrahm married in Big Sur

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Friday 16 November 2007 at 3:22 pm

With the waves crashing behind them, Abrahm and Jodie exchange vows on Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur. It was a gorgeous day and the whole feeling of the event was relaxed and happy. Intertwining some jewish customs to the writing of their own vows just made the day more personalized. Jodie and Abrahm are two of the most genuine people I’ve met and they were so much fun to work with. I loved their creativity and their thoughtfulness was evident in many aspects of the day. One of the things I loved the most was that they had a pair of flip flops for every guest to wear down to the beach. When the guest came off the beach they had set up a little foot washing station so people could get the sand off their feet. The feel of the day was carried over into the reception as guest had cocktails at Ventana Inn overlooking the ocean, and dancing all night with a great band called extra-large. Click on their slideshow to view more images from their day.

Last but not least Abrahm is a very talented photojournalist.  Check out his website. His link is with the vendors listed below.

DSCF5001Here’s the photos I promised.  My two oldest nephews wanted to come and hang out with the littlest cousins for Halloween.  My kids had such a great time with their cousins.  I’m so fortunate that even though there is about a 23 year gap between them they are very close.  This photo will be one of the treasured ones thru the years. DSCF4995DSCF4999 1 2  The next couple of images were from our neighborhood. Not sure if I ever mentioned what a great neighborhood we have.  We get together a couple of times a year and celebrate something. This past summer we had a fourth of July block party and a movie night in our background.   It is so much fun.  Here’s a bunch of the kids and all the moms had witch hats.
