Pumpkin Patches

DSCF4861meandboysDSCF4892orangepumpkinsHappy Halloween everyone.  I can’t believe how fast this month as went.  I’m so glad that earlier this month my kids and I made it to the pumpkin patch.  It is one of our yearly traditions that we just love.  I’ll be sad when these days are over.  We headed to Lemos Farm on the way to Half Moon Bay to play, ride the hayride, and get their monster cookies.  Aidan even had the oppurtunity to do a pony ride.  Afterwords we headed to our friends house in Half Moon for dinner.  Along the way I found a great little pumpkin stand that had a bunch of different kind of pumpkins.  What was great was that it was so reasonably priced that we were able to get all kinds of different ones to decorate the outside of the house with.  They had acorn pumpkins, green pumpkins, white pumpkins, pumpkins that looked like watermelons, and some really funky squashes that we picked because they were fun.DSCF4925DSCF4960potatoheads

One of the greatest inventions is the potato head pumpkin kits.  This way they can have their pumpkins decorated for most of the month.  Last night we carved some but these have been up all month.  Can’t wait to post some images from Halloween this year.  My nephews will be here (their 29 and 30) and they are going to dress up with the kids and take them trick or treating this year.  It should be pretty good.

The tooth fairy

One of the great things about having kids is remembering the magic of childhood. Yesterday, while were at Chili’s having lunch my oldest decided to pull his loose tooth out right in the middle of the restuarant. Yes, there was blood but excitement. The entire meal he played with his tongue coming out of the newly made hole in his mouth. When we got home he put the tooth in a tic tac container and put it under is pillow. I love the fact that he is 7 almost 8 and still believes in the tooth fairy. It just warms your heart when they run in your room in the morning going “Mom the tooth fairy left me money.” with the biggest toothless grin. What’s even better is that is younger brother was so excited for him and can’t wait to loose his teeth.

Kristi and Anthony wedding at Willow Heights Mansion

0060 resizeHere is wedding number two from the Kristi and Tony weekend. Kristi and Anthony had a spectacular view of the valley as they exchanged vows at Willow Heights Mansion in Morgan Hill. They really had some great ideas and really used their choice of colors through out out the wedding. If you couldn’t tell from the colors on my website I fell in love with the pinks, browns, and polka dots scattered and used on their wedding. Their cake was by one of my favorites bakers. Cero from http://www.cakeexpressions.com. I can pretty much walk in to any reception and recognize his cakes. They are absolutely beautiful and unique. Her flowers were done by Flowerspot (358-5190) and again very unique qualities. They also had a great party powered by the music from Adrian of Sound in Motion (http://www.simdjs.com). Don’t forget to check out their slideshow below.

Kristi and Tony’s wedding at Crystal Springs Golf Course

This particular weekend was a little unique to photograph.  I had a wedding on Saturday and one on Sunday.  What was funny was that both couples were Kristi and Anthony.  Fortunately for me this Anthony went by Tony and it helped to give each couple a level of separation.   A couple of the things unique about Kristi and Tony’s wedding was that the headpiece that Kristi wore was an heirloom from Iceland.  Many woman including her mother wore the gold crown.  The other thing that was fun is that Kristi arrived to the ceremony and then left with her husband her in her father’s t-bird.  Which I was told that Kristi spent time working on it with him in the garage as she was growing up. 0348 resize
