twinsfeetIf you remember a couple of weeks ago I did a maternity session for twins. Well they finally arrived and I had the honor of photographing Kylie and Quinn for the first time with their family. It was a busy afternoon photographing 4 kids under the age of 5 and two of them just weeks old. We had a great time. I know one of the images doesn’t show the twins face but for some reason I just love it.

What a day! Field Trip and Trip to the X-ray

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Thursday 20 September 2007 at 7:59 pm

Today is one of those days.  Two landmarks happened at our house.  One it was my youngest son’s first field trip and his first ride on a school bus.  Both very big things to a 5 year old.  For me riding the school bus was an everyday affair and  at times we begged our parents to drive us to school.  Especially when you got in to high school.  Arriving on the bus was not cool.  But here it is like going to Disneyland since they only to get to ride the bus for special trips.  It was very fun as we went to the Alum Rock Park Youth Institute of Science.  It was a very peaceful hike as we observed deer, stellar blue jays, and yes a red headed woodpecker.  Very fun!  A much needed break since I’ve been in front of the computer so much lately.aidanbus

Well as soon as we got back to school I had to take my oldest to a doctor appointment.  He had fallen on his scooter and we thought he may of broken his wrist.  He had to go and get x-rays.  Well, if the results come back it will be the first broken bone I’m sure of many.  I was just thinking the other day how lucky we’ve been with no broken bones so far.  Both our boys are daredevils.colexray.jpg

Ingrid and Edwards Engagement Session

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Thursday 20 September 2007 at 7:30 pm

Ingrid and Edward were running behind.  With traffic and the fire from Henry Coe Park are light was going fast.  We did what I call a speed shoot and we had so much fun.  They were great and I’m surprised we got as many photos as we did since we laughed quite a bit.  Ingrid’s daughter was excited to be in some of the photos.  I love that her front teeth are missing.  There’s just something wonderfully classic about that age.  I’m so looking forward to shooting their wedding in October.  Besides be a great couple, the three of them make a great family.  Check out some of their images below.

Dayna and Jay’s wedding at Villa Montalvo

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Monday 17 September 2007 at 2:34 pm

0052  Villa Montalvo was just a fairytell setting to Dayna and Jay’s wedding.  They had great weather and just a really great crowd of family and friends.  One of my favorite things about this location is a room few people see.  It’s the bridal room where the bride gets ready for the big day.  They have this great makeup desk that is reminiscence of old time broadway or very Audrey Hepburn.  Those are some of my favorite images as Dayna got ready with her girls.

This next photo was one of my favorite moments with Jay.  His quote I believe was ” I’ve waited my whole life for this moment.”  I love it.  It truly brought out his personality. And it just shows you how fun they were to work with. 0081

They had great list of vendors and I would recommend any of them.  They were like a dream team.  Thanks for making my day easier.

Just got back from Partner Con in Los Angeles and had a great time.  My brain still hurts from all the new information absorbed and I’m so looking forward to sharing some of it with you.  As you can see it was the photographers turn to get in front of the camera.  Kiss Albums and Showit Slideshow through the photographers a great party at a club in Hermosa Beach.  They rented this photo booth for everyone to have a chance to just be silly. You never know what happens when you get a bunch of photographers together taking pictures.  I will keep my other coherts names anonymous but we had a fun time connecting.

Heading to LA for Partner Con

Like always there seems to be so much to catch you up on.  Today I’m heading to LA to go to the annual Partner Con.  It is like mini school for photographers.  It is a great time to hear some great speakers, find out what is new in the industry, and just do some brainstorming.  I’m looking forward to telling you all about it.

Brian and Tracy at Fort Mason Chapel San Francisco

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Tuesday 11 September 2007 at 10:26 am

I think Brian and Tracy had to have the shortest ceremony I have ever been present at. It lasted almost 5-10 minutes. They just wanted it sweet and simple and that is what is was. They were all about sharing their day, and it was great day for all who participated. Besides the western wedding they held a tea ceremony right before the reception. I just loved her outfit that she wore for this. It was stunning. Then all the jewelry she had on was either heirlooms or gifts given to her from family and friends. On the way to tea ceremony I was able to ride in the limo with them to get some really fun shots. I just love this one. Also, don’t forget to check out her cake and the little penguins on top.

Rob and Cindy at the Santa Clara University

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Tuesday 4 September 2007 at 10:48 am

Wanted to give everyone a quick like to see Rob and Cindy’s wedding we did last month at the Santa Clara University. They were a really fun crowd and had some really great things about their day. One I loved the guys suits and the color of their ties. They looked fantastic. Cindy dress was made by her mom. I thought that was just a special little fact, and since Cindy is from Chico their gift to their guest was little jars of almonds and honey. They looked great on the tables. The reception was at the Adobe lodge which always does a great job.
