Destination Wedding Puerta Vallarta, Mexico
Last month I had the privelage of being able to photograph the wedding of Amirah and Eric down in Puerta Vallarta. It is a great Mexican town with lots of charm, history, and character. It was a great time as I was able to spend a couple of days with their friends and family. The wedding was held at a resort called Dreams just North of downtown Puerta Vallarta. It was a late wedding and we started to run out of light due to the clouds that rolled in earlier in the day but, everyone just went with the flow. It was a sweet ceremony with a lot of emotion. These two were excited about getting married. The reception was even held on the beach with an after party in one of the clubs at the resort.
One thing that made their wedding unique was what they did the morning of the wedding. The entire wedding party and some of the guest went on a Canopy and Repelling tour. It was so much fun. We started the trip by riding in a huge military style truck and headed in to the jungle. When we got their we were sized for equipment and put it on. Next, we were assigned a mule. Yes, a mule to ride up the mountain for about 15 minutes. Then we sailed through the jungle on these ziplines. My favorite part was repelling down the waterfall. I’d never had the oppurtunity to try it. I thought how fun and who can say that they flew through the jungle and repelled on their wedding day. Maybe Jane and Tarzan but now so can Amirah and Eric.
The first slideshow is of the morning and the second one is the wedding. Enjoy and hold on.

I just love the emotion in this picture. Amirah’s mother is holding her dress while she embraces her new mother-in-law. I love how eveyone is watching including Eric.
These girls were great and so much fun. They’ve known each other forever.
Just a beautiful night for a reception on the beach.
