The Johnson Tree Farm

Looking for a great experience to go and find and cut your own Christmas tree?  Go up to the Johnson Tree Farm in Boulder Creek. It is so much fun.  NO, we are not related to them.  In fact, when we first moved here we found this place on accident one day.  We’ve been going to them ever since.  We had four other families join us this year.  There is a hayride, pumpkin rolling contest, cider, cookies, petting zoo, and even a little general store.  You can cut your own tree or choose one that has already been cut.  This year they even have trees for Make a wish foundation.  If you purchase one these special trees a certain amount goes to “Make a Wish Foundation”.  If you have the time its a great experience.DSCF2567 resize 1

Practical Joke

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Wednesday 29 November 2006 at 2:39 pm

Ok for those of you who don’t know me really well I love a good joke. I don’t like ones that destruct or will take my friends a while to recover but when we come up with one I have to move on it.  Friends of ours had a pigeon problem.  They have tried all kinds of things to get rid of them. In fact, one day a neighbor of theirs told them that one of their pigeons was sick and in his yard dying, that he better come get it.  My friend was like what you mean my pigeons?  The neighbor thought they were raising them, that is how many decided to make their roof their home.  So, they left for Thanksgiving and came home to this on their porch.  Of course, with a couple of crank calls over the weekend from some friends of mine who love to act.DSCF2599 resize

Happy Thanksgiving

We had quite a crowd this year and a lot to be thankful for.  We have been so blessed with family and friends our cup is overflowing. God has touched and blessed us with a new house, great new neighbors, and for me a business that is really taking off.  We couldn’t count everything to give thanks for.

Some of the people who gathered at our table have been part of our lives for years and some were new.  It was a great mix of people.  Of course we watched football, (the Broncos were on), had fantastic food, and then a competative game of four square.  Yes, I said Four square.  It was so funny.  I set up the game for the kids and the next thing I knew the kids got bored and all the guys started playing.  It was hilarious!DSCF2534 resize 1DSCF2538 resize 1

Office Update

DSCF2541 resize 1DSCF2518 resizeDSCF2520 resizeOk so this took on a life of its own this weekend. My nephews came in to town for Thanksgiving.  Since  they were here they helped me remove the shingles from our new house. The house was really ugly.  Even the neighbors kept coming over and saying it looks better with just plywood on it instead of those shingles.  Then one thing lead to another and we got rid of the office door and window, and put in one big french door.  It looks great but know everything is in chaos.  I’m really excited to see how it all turns out.  My little guy wanted to help so he even helped remove shingles.  But first he had to take his shirt off like the big cousins. Hope to have stucco done on the house in the next week or two and then I have to pick out a color. Yikes!

Had the oppurtunity on Friday to attend a fundraiser for Bellarmine Prepatory here in San Jose. It was so much fun.  My friend asked me to come and take some pictures for her.  It was so fun and these kids had a blast walking the cat walk.   DSC3781 resize DSC3797 resize 1 DSC3799 resize 1 DSC3889 resize 1

“My Mom is a cow!”

DSC2516 1 DSC2521 1 2 DSC2519 1 2 3So many different people asked me what my kids were for Halloween. Here are some shots of the crazy Johnsons.  Cole my oldest wanted to be Yoda but only if our dog Annie could be Darth Vader.  Then my little guy was a cowboy on a horse.  He galloped and everything it was hilarious.  But what is a cowboy without a cow to rope? That is where I came in.  Everytime someone answered the door they would say to Little A “Hey your a cowboy.”  And then he would reply ” I know and my mom is a cow!” They are always thinking of my self esteem.

49ers vs Vikings

DSCF2452 resize 1 2DSCF2462 resize 1For all of you who know we are die hard Denver Bronco fans.  But this past weekend we were given the oppurtunity to go to a 49er game at Monster Park.  Our realtor got us great tickets and we were able to take some friends.  Things that made the adventure fun was: 1) The seats were on the field in the end zone.  Unbelievable! 2) The weather was fantastic.  We were hot at a football game. Crazy! 3) The two sets of friends we brought with us were 1 couple for the vikings the others for the 49ers. The niners actually won a game this season 9-3.  It was just a great day.  As you can see from the pictures the Viking fans weren’t very happy!photopress:DSCF2462_resize.JPG,full,alignleft]DSCF2478a
