Scooter Wedding

The wedding of Josh and Katie was fun right from the start. Katie just has one of those beautiful, contagious personalities.  You can’t help but be happy and have fun with her around.  Besides the elegance of all the little details Katie worked so hard on, they had a fun side theme of scooters.  Josh, the groom, even had scooter cuff links.  There was scooter patches, and all the guest name cards were attached to minature toy scooters. There was so many things that made me smile at this wedding. For starters, Katie and her siblings were just a riot. I’ve never seen siblings so into each other and they all love to entertain.  They must get it naturally because the father of the bride played in the band at the reception.  The mother got down with all of her kids to “Born to be Wild.” The guest were great.  The wedding was a little behind, which caused dinner to be behind.  Problem was dinner was outside and by time it was served it was pitch dark, with just a few strings of lights and a sky full of stars.  Everyone took it in stride.  They all pulled their cell phones out to see what was for dinner or had fun guessing what they were eating. It turned out great and had everyone at all the tables interacting.  It was a great time for all.  Here’s a peak at their day. Katie also sings for the San Jose Opera.  I’ll hook up her website here soon in case anyone needs a singer at their wedding.

Have you ever been BOOO-ed?

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Monday 23 October 2006 at 8:42 pm

Well, tonight my kids went out and BOOO-ed some of their friends.  What does that mean?  It is when you leave a special treat from the Friendly Halloween Goblin on someones doorstep. It’s like a candy chain letter.  If you don’t BOO someone then a curse will fall upon you.  They had so much fun. It was their first experience at ringing someone’s doorbell then running and hiding.  They had a great time.  They loved hearing the people’s expressions as they opended the door.

October is Breast Cancer Month

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Friday 13 October 2006 at 2:28 pm

DSCF0135 resize 1                   Last year about this time my girlfriends and I walked in the 3day walk down in San Diego to help fight breast cancer.  In honor of the month and those that are fighting this disease I wanted to encourage everyone to help others who might be participating this year. If you know of someone or you see someone wearing a t-shirt ask them if they need some financial support. Walkers and crew need to raise over $2000 a piece to even start the walk. It is in San Diego again this year and is being held November 10-12.  This walk is no cake walk. You walk 60 miles in 3 days rain or shine.  I remember last year I didn’t know that blisters could get that big. But it was so worth it as you met people along the trail listening to their stories of themselves or loved ones.   You can check out the site at www.the3day.org to find out how you could help or even sign up for next year!

Lauren and Brendan are getting hitched

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Friday 13 October 2006 at 2:23 pm

Had the greatest day on Wednesday with Lauren and Brendan up in the city.  It was the perfect oppurtunity to get to know them better.  We had so much fun.  Lauren was giggling so much she was cracking me up and Brendan had a hard time kissing her because she couldn’t stop.  I just love when the clients are excited to be there.  They even made a cute sign for their scooter.  Even though the sun went down way sooner then we thought we got some great shots.  Here’s a sneak peak at their session.

Ken and G stop by and the vet bill is High!

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Tuesday 10 October 2006 at 9:05 pm

The last couple of days have been just packed.  We had some friends come up from L.A. and make a surprise visit. There the type of friends you call family.  Well, Congratulations to them because they just announced to us that they were having a baby.  How exciting is that.  For many of you, you might recognize them.  They are the couple in the rain on the front of my webite.  So they were the highlight for Monday.  The bad thing was our 10 year old golden has something wrong with her eye.  After close to $800 the vets still are not sure what is wrong.  You gotta love them not their bills but she is totally worth it.  She’s a great dog.  I’ll need to get you all a photo of her if you haven’t met her already.

Pumpkin Patch

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Tuesday 10 October 2006 at 8:59 pm

I just love fall.  As busy as I am I can’t but help love the change in the colors of the trees and the festivity of all the pumpkin patches as you drive by. It is truly a season that shows God is a major artist.  As is tradition this time of year we made our annual trip over to Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay.  This is a great place for kids.  Every year my kids love to walk among the pumpkins, eat the cookies, do the hayride, and in general just have a good time. Check out these pumpkins. I’ve never seen anything like them. They kind of look like acorns but they have the coolest shape and design and come in different shades of oranges, greens, and yellows. If you’ve never been up that way I believe Half Moon Bay is having their big Pumpkin festival this weekend. It is a great way to get in to the fall.DSCF2318 resizeCopy of DSCF2302 resizeDSCF2292 resize

End of the summer tradition

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Wednesday 4 October 2006 at 10:29 pm

In the summer my kids and I have what we call “Funday Fridays”.  I try to take every Friday that I can off and we go and do something special.  It could be going to Paramount, the zoo, Bonafante gardens, Monterrey, the beach, just swimming at a friends house.  Whatever fun summer can bring.  For the last three years we head to Marine World for the last funday Friday of the season.  This year we had the oppurtunity to ride an elephant, feed the dolphins and the birds.  They are such animal kids they just love it.DSCF2017DSCF2039DSCF2074

Sparklers for Natalie and Steve

Blogged under Uncategorized by jill on Wednesday 4 October 2006 at 10:07 pm

Had the oppurtunity to go to Michigan and photograph the wedding of Steve and Natalie. They were so funny. All they wanted to do was get married and then just get on the dance floor.  I think Natalie danced all night long.  The wedding and reception was outside in a tent.  Right after dinner it started to pour. I don’t think they even noticed.  The dj was great and had everybody out on the floor. Since they don’t live in California they were able to do a sparkler send off.  Everyone loved it and Natalie’s mom really wanted0079 to have a sparkling heart at the end of it.
